You guys are the best at what you do - thanks so much!
TheDarkLordLucifer | July 08, 2008
An alter of doom, towers above the light.
Behold the eclipse, pitiful sheep shall soon ignite.
Satan's flames are to burn the weak.
Master of the shadows, you are afraid.
He reveals the knowledge you've tried to hide.

He shall ascend through the sky as the landscape fades.
The battle rages for the church of the frail.
Prayers of fools fall into darkness.
Victorious again, he shatters thy holy cross.

The defeated and idle are cast into the sea.
Perched upon his new throne, a dark immortal.

I always wondered about the rooster thing. That story of how it came about is awesome!
ThGreatSilence | April 30, 2008
As I remember, Greg is the reincarnation of a chicken (or rooster)...according to some guy that called in reporting what his guru had said about Greg. It was somewhere in the mid-90's. Thus, the rooster sound.

Hey, since I am about a year old in listening to Stand to Reason podcast, I would like to know the story behind the Cock crow that commences the Stand to Reason show!!

Greg! Great Job Brother! Your Program is simply fabulous! STR is certainly a great tool I use in developing my study in Christian Apologetics. The techniques taught are very pragmatic and can easily find application in the work setting.
I would highly recommend the ABC (Ambasador Basic Curriculum) and website for anybody serious about their faith in Jesus Christ.
Kudos to you all at STR.

Greg! I just want to say that I ran across an op-ed you did in the Columbus Dispatch about a year ago and loved what you wrote. I now listen to Pod casts all the time and read STR articles all the time. Thank you so much for what you and all of what STR does!

Stand2Reason,
I'm so happy to see you on youtube!

I don't understand why some people would think that only knowledge acquired by repeatable experimentation are true. Repeatable experimentation is one of many ways of discovering truth. If something happened only once, then whether it's repeatable or not, it has still happened.

LocustYear, you have given one possible explanation of why people believe in God, however, the same kind of argument could be made of people who trust only in science. There might be a bio-chemical disorder which makes some people more predisposed to rejecting some non-repeatable experiences as true occurrences. But just because I can postulate such a category of people doesn't make brain-chemistry the actual cause for you to reject the events in the bible as being true. Even if I find a statistical correlation in brain chemistry to whatever it is you believe about the bible, I would still have to deal with your arguments supporting your views. Or else, I would guilty of prejudice in the worse sense - that is, judging people before they have a chance to speak for themselves.
