He was probably the best Russia's emperor and king! During his rule, Russia transformed from agricultural and undeveloped country and reached a rank of Empire with outstanding industry, in that time the strongest army in the world and became one of the richest countries! During his reign, Russia expanded several times ! Incredible development and strong centralized government paved road and in 19th century, thanks to Peter's reform, Russia stretched on three continents : Europe, Asia and North America !
Most amazing part of Peter's life is how he went to western Europe to collect knowledge about ship-building ! He worked as ordinary worker in several shipyards and factories. He went back to Russia and made supreme fleet!
He issued order for founding new city(in 1703 ), that became capital - St. Petersburg ! St.Petersburg today is one of the most magnificent cities in the world. Having many museums, artwork and amazing structures !
Peter died of pneumonia in year 1725 when he jumped into cold water to rescue some people that were drowning in the sea !
