* Only a Southerner knows the difference between a hissie fit and a conniption fit, and that you don't "HAVE" them, you "PITCH" them.

* Only a Southerner can show or point out to you the general direction of "yonder".

* Only a Southerner knows exactly how long "directly" is, ... as in: "Going to town, be back directly."

* Even Southern babies know that "Gimme some sugar" is not a request for the white, granular sweet substance that sits in a pretty little bowl in the middle of the table.

* In the South, y'all is singular, all y'all is plural.

* Only a Southerner, both knows and understands, the difference between a redneck, a good ol' boy, and po' white trash.

* A Southerner knows that "fixin" can be used as a noun, a verb, or an adverb.

* Only Southerners make friends while standing in lines, and when we're "in line," we talk to everybody!

* And a true Southerner knows you don't scream obscenities at little old ladies who drive 30 MPH on the freeway. You just say ,"Bless her heart".. and go your own way.

I'm a SAHM of 2 great kids & I've been married to my soul mate for 15 years now. You may notice a lot of videos of my daughter Briana singing. That's what brought us here to YouTube originally, to share her talent. But I've discovered so much more & made some truly great friends! I'm very artistic and have been all my life. I enjoy drawing, painting, pottery, crafts even some creative writing and I played piano when I was younger. I have a degree in fine arts with an emphasis in graphic design. I worked several years as a graphic designer and then went freelance. As a freelancer, I did work for several big name painting/craft magazines and had a publisher who published a book of my designs. I suppose that was my fifteen minutes of fame! I went to a few painting conventions where the publisher was promoting my book and I sat there signing autographs. I could NOT believe that people actually wanted me to sign their books! Like I said.. it was my fifteen minutes! LOL Now days, my kids take up most of my time. I haven't painted anything in a few years, but I would love to return to it someday.

I like to read when I have time. Mostly true crime books and I also enjoy an occaisional biography on someone really interesting. I like to scrapbook and I love karaoke! I like to swim and I like to bowl! I LOVE to cook and I'm pretty good at it! Please feel free to share any great recipes you might have! I love animals.. we just recently rescued two sweet little kittens..we named them Ninja & Jewels. We had a cocker spaniel, Holly Belle, that we dearly loved, but she is with my parents now as she wasn't good with children. We miss her a lot, but we get to see her fairly frequently.
