"I need not fear my enemies because the most they can do is attack me. I need not fear my friends because the most they can do is betray me. But I have much to fear from people who are indifferent." -Russian proverb

"There are more ideas on earth than intellectuals imagine. And these ideas are more active, stronger, more resistant, more passionate than ''politicians'' think. We have to be there at the birth of ideas, the bursting outward of their force: not in books expressing them, but in events manifesting this force, in struggles carried on around ideas, for or against them. Ideas do not rule the world. But it is because the world has ideas... that it is not passively ruled by those who are its leaders or those who would like to teach it, once and for all, what it must think."

-Michel Foucault

Actually Area0052 in ProfMTH's video response not once does he call TheCarruths "dumb" he simply points out what he sees as inconsistent and agrees with Ben's statement, he only seeks clarification. Also in reference to mungbeanman someone may have grammatical errors but it is no indication of one's intelligence. Grammar is only one of an unfathomable number of parts that makes up one's intelligence. In which none of these parts have traceable correlation to one another. For example I very well could have grammatical errors in this paragraph I've just written but even so I believe the people who know me well would not label me as "dumb".

Hi Ben
Where is the Foucault-quote from?

How are you today ben? I am sorry if I have cause any anguish by reccomending your vid to prof MTH. I look up to you in a lot of ways. As do many others. Thanks for being here.

To Area0052 - No he doesn't. And if you are going to go around accusing people of being dumb (be that directly or by proxy) might I suggest not making yourself look dumb by confusing 'you're' with 'your'.

ProfMTH says your dumb in his latest video

Infinitely complex huh?

Yet you delight in the complexity of your arguments - with sets of ideas and relationships among signifiers - tangled into each other on the background of ecological systems.

Either/Or-thinking will push our species into the void.
