I wanted to clear up some confusion that has developed recently. I want to make sure everyone knows that I am not affiliated with any broadcast television station. I only do this to show others across the world how crazy severe weather can be in the Miami Valley, be able to educate others on how to "read" severe weather using Doppler radar, and provide potential life saving information for others when the time comes that they may need to take action against severe weather.

Also, some have asked why I do not have new WDTN video on here. Since WDTN has their own You Tube page, I am respecting their venture into You Tube and do not want to potentially take away traffic from their page.

Honestly, I have no preference for one station over another. I really enjoy weather and have my entire life. Anyone who is willing to go into this difficult profession like I am currently attempting to do has my upright respect no matter who they work for or where they work.

Thanks for watching!

Update: No severe weather yet. Originally, Saturday was supposed to be pretty bad, but nothing happened. Lucky us.

I do expect a significant severe weather outbreak any day now, however. We here in DFW have NEVER gotten away with nice weather for more than a month before something awful happens, especially in the spring and summer months.
When will it happen? I couldn't know less. So I'm going to keep an eye on TWC, because like I said, this is extremely abnormal for DFW this time of year, to have real nice weather for such long periods, and I remember that same thing happened in '04, from March to April{just us}. Scary stuff, man.

I'll let you know if anything else happens.

Small update: Nothing has happened as of today; but I believe a severe weather outbreak is actually more imminent than ever. Don't know when it's going to happen, though, so I'll be keeping an eye on TWC every now and then.

Take care, everybody!

We here in northern Texas have had well below the average for severe weather for the month of May this year. Lucky us, huh?
We'll probably have the opposite luck in June and July, I think.
Which basically means getting all the nasty weather they've been having in the Midwest.

I remember in 2003, we didn't have that much severe weather compared to the rest of the country, yet in '04, we had some of the worst weather.

I don't know if the second half of my first statement is 100% accurate or 100% true, but it seem to me, from a few past experiences I've had, nature has its own way of biting us in the ass, at least where I live.

Good luck getting thru OK, Justin.
I just looked at the Weather Channel's 'T-storm Fcst.' map, and doesn't look too bad tomorrow for you guys in the Miami Valley, but you never know.
Stay safe, man!

I live in the miami valley also and I have to admit, the late winter of 07 and early 08, was very creepy and scary weather. We had like 2-4 tornadoes in Jan./Feb. alone!

Yesterday was weird man. I was out near school and I was standing on a hill, and I think I saw what looked like a wall cloud about 3 to 4 miles southeast of the school. I don't think I saw any funnels though. Did you get this one on video?
