hey, i watched your video about the Real ID act(national ID card). Ive been doing some research on it and found some pretty crazy stuff about how it got passed...

Congressman James Sensenbrenner, author of the orginal bill(H.R. 418) attached it as a *rider onto a much broader bill which "made emergency supplemental appropriations for defense, the Global War on Terror, and Tsunami Relief" (H.R. 1268). It was approved 50 to 0 by the Senate and 368 to 58 in the House of Representatives. Out of the current presidential front runners, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John McCain voted for it. Ron Paul voted against it.

It has never been debated on the US Senate floor. They've never talked about it in any committee. Most of congress didn't even read the whole bill.

Fortunately, there is some legislation going through congress right now that would work to repeal the ID but i don't know how thats going to go.
