In 1997 I started to work on some Star Wars theme by John Williams. The first theme I chose
In 1997 I started to work on some Star Wars theme by John Williams. The first theme I chosed was "The Throne Room and Finale",a powerfull and soaring tune.Afterwards, I thought the Imperial March could be great on guitar and so on, till I reach the amount nowadays of 43 themes !!!covering the 6 known Episodes, mostly IV,V and VI.I have used a lot of diferent technics, mainly classic as well as folk, music from los Andes,a little Jazz and Flamenco, but used in another way to create synphonic impressions, and all material extracted"by ear" from the recordings of the LSO,creating a manuscript of 123 pages till now. I strongly admired the art of John Williams( not to be confused with the brilliant australian guitarist) and this is my tribute to him, without any concessions, respecting all details and lenghts of the pieces,no reductions of any kind.I hope it won`t be long till we have an official edition of the whole work,so guitarist have the chance to perform them. This will be a real challenge. You can hear my version of "Jaws" a very complex tune as well as the brilliant "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" theme by Paul Sawtell. riosecopalacios@gmail.com
