"What is important is not the result but the way, to be on the way to truth is already to be in the truth"

Marcel Eck
Name: Shaheed
Age: 22
When I began studying African history I deeply became enamored about African History. I soon realized that African history was just as rich and exciting as any other branch of the Human family. While I was learning these exciting and wonderful things. I pondered to myself as to why no one taught these facts in school. Was it because no one knew? Or was it just kept hidden? Whatever the case may be, I noticed that many people harbor a bias about Africa and her people. The most popular bias is that African people were primitive people who created nothing or did nothing meaningful worth mentioning. This popular myth is one of the most protracted lie ever told, it was created for the sole purpose to undermine African people. What's important to note, African people throughout history were regarded to be noble, intelligent, righteous, and etc. For example, white people harbored no special hostility toward blacks, nor did they preach any doctrine of black inferiority. In fact the belief in antiquity among white were that black people were intelligent and beautiful. The Roman poet Luxorius wrote, "O wonderful, O bold, O swift, O spirited, O always ready! Not at all does your swarthy body harm you because of its blackness. So did nature create black precious ebony.... So do black Indian incense and Pepper give pleasure." In the same vein, Herodotus wrote "The Ethiopians are said to be the tallest and best looking people in the world." Indeed, Romans and Greeks praise Black women at the expense of their own ladies. They also spoke of the high intellect of blacks. Vitruvius Pollio wrote "southerner were keenly intelligent their mind rendered acute by the heat". I can say with certainty that most people never read these quotes before. I just simply named a few, but as you can see contrary to the popular belief. blacks were never intellectual inferior, primitive, and etc.

This is why I made this channel to inform the people about African history. I want people to know the truth. As I learn more and new things I will make video about that. I love learning new things and I want to restore the splendor of African history that was distorted during slavery and colonialism.

The picture of 5:44 was discovered by Karl Lepsius a German scholar. Afro-Asiatic is not an ethnicity only a linguistic term. By the way, the Afro-astaic languages are linked with the spread of the E3B1 haplogroup, which originated in East Africa. The only reason it's called Afro-Asiatic is due to the fact that one of the sub branch is found in southwest Asia, but the Afro-asiatic language originated in Africa, Ethiopia to be more precise. Read my link next time. (3 weeks ago)

I love your channel! The world needs more education and recognition of the amazing wealth wisdom and knowledge one can learn from African tribal cultures and antiquity.
deborahbetty58 | May 31, 2008
Well Shaheed as you dig into the his/her(s)tory of Africa, I'll try to dig into my own her(s)tory, connecting it with the spiritual realm. Subsequently connecting the dots to make a full cicle of the communal human history. Therefore during moments of mystery, when images & time fall into place, our lines of his/her(s)tory cross; a timeless moment of encounter... :-Debby
