Your super 8 footage is brilliant. Enjoyed watching some of my heroes - Costello, Van Halen, Sting among them - and I must say your collection is quite impressive. Thanks for sharing it with the world.

a lot of people email wanting dvd's of the shows. none are professionally transfered 200.00$ an hour for that. just me shooting them off the wall. if some serious collector wants to help pay for a good transfer i'd love to, but i can't afford it. i do have dvd's of the shows and others for trade on tapetrader.com name dank.

Man this is so awesome. It's like vintage...nostalgia...authentic man! Super 8 man...25 years ago by 'some guy' in the audience... it just feels so much different and real.

I was probably at a couple of those shows. I didn't start concert taping until '90 or so; too bad.

here it is, the wealth of my mispent youth. when i was 15 i bought a super 8 camera and projector, then i got into music. i started going to concerts and filming them. most of these are from 1980 i was 15-16, i worked at a sleazy downtown theatre [academy-world] in minneapolis which showed 2nd run and kung fu movies. i still lived at home so i used my earnings to fund my hobby of filming. so from gary numan in march 1980, to X in aug. 82 i filmmed bands thinking it would stop the voices in my head, or at least that i was some great documentarian. didn't work out but now you get to enjoy them. hope you like them.
