One of the most important things in my life is music. It is the most powerful weapon or tool known to mankind. Something that penetrates the very fiber of the skin, and seeps into the essence of man. Music is my drive. My release. My entrance to the unapparent and hidden peace in everything I encounter. Music doesn't consume me. It IS me. But not until 2005 did it truly hit me. Blind sighted me. Picked up the guitar early on in the year. Put on a Justin Timberlake album and started singing to myself later on in the year. Sat in my room and sang random nothingness at random hours of the night. Releasing it all... And my eyes were opened... I realized this is what I love. It was more than sitting around just listening to music. It was about creating music. Even though I barely know the difference between a Dsus2 chord and a Dsus4 chord, the beauty of it all floors me. Whether its the sudden thud of a pencil dropping to the floor, or the flurry of traffic on the highway, or the skipping of a stone on the surface of a tranquil lake. Just sounds. But beyond that. Transcending the manifest. Music. The medium through which I hope to leave an indelible mark on the world. The fingerprints of my life...
