My name is Danny Brown, I am a cinematographer, photographer, web/graphic designer, practitioner of many skills, who uses a number of programs to manipulate the things I capture digitally. I feel the best way I can honor my circumstances is to work as hard a humanly possible. My art is directly influenced by Nature and tries to harness its beauty through the digital medium. The theme of balance is central to my artwork, yin and yang, good and bad, and light and dark can be seen running throughout my short movies, drawings, and digital collage work. I religiously practice a number of things to improve my agility and strength, both mentally and physically. Sports have always had a big influence my life and have given me the base that is so vital to my artwork. Every day I try to expand upon this base to try and strengthen my balance, artwork, and ideas. Climbing, running, hockey, soccer, slack-lining, yoga, and skiing are a few of the sports that helped to strengthen the artistic foundation that is central my art. To me every type of rehearsed movement is an art from so the more that one practices different sports/movement the better all around artist they will become. In these ways my art is greatly influenced by the Zen philosophy.
I hope to one day create a film that is so deeply rooted with nature and the balance, rhythm, and flow of life that it induces a sense of enlightenment in the viewer.
