HIGHEST Quality Link: http://youtube.com/watch?v=cp46jW3qS3M&fmt=18 (PLEASE watch the video through that link. It's insanely higher quality. You'll get more out of it. It is IN FACT better quality than YouTube's "watch in high quality" link. It might not work in IE though.)
This is the Dragon Ball Z - Movies 3-4 (Tree of Might and Lord Slug) Double Feature Remastered Trailer. I know for fact that it will be released on September 16, 2008, on DVD and Blu-Ray, along with Season 6 AND Dragon Ball GT Remastered Season 1!
FYI, there is a new Dragon Ball Movie Special in production right now, to be out by the end of this year in Japan.

The following is restated information in all my Remastered DBZ videos. I ONLY ASK YOU READ IT ONCE; skim through it if updated since your last read. (Updated: May 31, 2008) ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------- All of the Dragon Ball Z Remastered Sets were captured in 1080p High Definition (widescreen) and put on DVDs. It was brought down to 480p when transferred to the DVDs but it doesn't matter. It doesn't change the detail of the capture. Since the film was made in 480p anyway, manually upscaling the DVDs to 1080p is no different than FUNimation's upscaled capture. These sets are uncut with an additional audio track of 5.1 surround, containing the original Japanese BGM. It's also in the original framerate (24 fps) & with the more natural, intended colors. Finally, it has the Japanese audio and Eng subtitles.
***I can upload more clips by request. Send me PMs of the scenes you want to see & I will consider them.
-All MY snapshots are unaltered frames from the original DVDs. The quality differences are best seen on an LCD screen, more specifically on an HDTV with a decent contrast ratio (1600:1/8000:1 in Dynamic, or greater), preferably on a 32" or bigger. For best accuracy on the TV, the pictures should be viewed through a PS3/Xbox 360, connected by HDMI/Component cables.
*I took the same frame from the old & Remastered FUNi captures then combined them. I TOOK THE WORST CASE SCENARIO THAT THE WIDESCREEN CAN POSSIBLY DO! ABSOLUTE WORST!!! As an example, when Goku is turning Super Saiyan, it's not cut like it is here because what's being shown is from Goku's upper body to his hair. What FUNi is able to do is make the capture a little higher & capture just as much of his hair. It actually looked better widescreen because Goku's ears are seen, giving a completed feel. Now, here's the link of that worst scenario... http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y274/Typhoon859/All-In-One. jpg
*Also, the opening & ending to DBZ are almost in a perfect 4:3 format so they, they INDEED have a lot cut off. The quality difference is insane though. Have a look. The top link is from DRAGON BOX & the bottom is from the Remastered. http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/8296/snapshot200701242110 00of5.png http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y274/Typhoon859/vlcsnap2430 373ct0.png
*Here's just another comparison between Dragon Box & Season 1 Remastered. It's very hard to tell which one looks better *rolls eyes* http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y274/Typhoon859/DragonBoxFr ame.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y274/Typhoon859/RemasteredF rame.jpg
*MOST IMPORTANT: Now that we're done with this capture's worst, look at how MOST OF THE REMASTERED was really cropped, as I have come to notice. Mostly, there isn't THAT much cut from top & bottom; instead, more important details are shown on the sides. http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/3678/bardock016sg2.png http://db-destiny.net/vlcsnap-4239113.png
I AM SURE OF ALL MY INFORMATION! I do not work for FUNi so there is no reason for me to lie to you. No vulgar comments regarding the factual matter or else they will be deleted and/or you will be blocked! I am just trying to provide you all with proper information to make your decisions easier about this product.
Do not tell me how Dragon Box looks better either. I've compared countless minutes. The only way it can look better is on an old, crappy SDTV that shows wrong colors, & on which widescreen obviously looks worse. Please compare the two links I gave at my channel's description (http://youtube.com/Typhoon859 ) of a Dragon Box & Remastered episode. DOWNLOAD AND SEE FOR YOURSELVES! The only Season that looks worse, mostly in terms of color, is Season 2.

This is the Dragon Ball Z - Movies 1-2 (Dead Zone and World's Strongest) Double Feature Remastered Trailer. I know for fact that it will be released on May 27, 2008 on DVD and Blu-Ray along with Season 5.
I also know that FUNimation will be releasing Season 6 (The Cell Games) on September 16, 2008, along with a Remastered Double Feature of Movies 3-4 on DVD & Blu-Ray AND Dragon Ball GT Remastered Season 1!
FYI, there is a new Dragon Ball Movie Special in production right now, to be out by the end of this year in Japan.
All of the Dragon Ball Z Remastered Season Sets (along with the released movies) were captured in 1080p High Definition then put on DVDs in widescreen format. It was brought down to 480p when put on the DVDs but that doesn't change the fact of the detail they captured it in. It's uncut, with an additional audio track of 5.1 surround with original Japanese music. It's also in the original framerate and with the more natural, intended colors. It can also be watched with the Japanese audio, subtitled.
*I took the same frame from both captures, old FUNimation and new. I TOOK THE WORST POSSIBLE CASE SCENARIO THAT THE WIDESCREEN CAN DO!! WORST WORST WORST!!! where Goku is turning Super Saiyan, it's not like this because they show from his body to his hair so they are able to make the capture a little higher and capture more of his hair. It actually looked better in widescreen because you were actually able to see his ears. Now here's the link of that worst case scenario.

*Also, the opening and ending to DBZ was made almost in a perfect 4:3 format so there, there INDEED was a lot cut off. But the quality difference is insane. Have a look. The top one is from Dragon Box and the bottom is from these remastered sets. (NOTE that these are not full quality pics and that colors are a little altered in both these shots and they look better in reality. As a matter of fact, that remastered picture looks worse than the encode I have of that.)

*MOST IMPORTANT!!!!! Now that we're done with the worst of the worst, look at how much MOST OF IT was cropped as I have come to notice. Mostly, there's BARELY ANYTHING cropped from top to bottom and a lot more seen from side to side. Also, once again, just like on any professional review, frameshots of anything, especially when looking at difference in quality are a very bad representation. That can only be seen by looking at two identical TVs side-to-side with both captures.

Now... STOP BSing AND COMPLAINING!!! I am sure of all my information! I do not work for FUNimation and there is no reason for me to lie to you. No vulgar comments on this matter or else they will be deleted and/or you will be blocked. Thank you :)
