In January of 2005, T51, a local Target store that had been a neighborhood staple for 40 years, closed up to be demolished and rebuilt. I was working at the store for the last 3 1/2 years and was asked to make a farewell video. It became an hour long documentary, entitled "T51: The Eve of Destruction", which included interviews with regular patrons or "guests" and workers or "team members". The patrons included a nice collection of misfits, weirdos, and scumbags.
Jim, one of those regulars, was seen in the store a few times a week. He was a very talkative guy, who wanted to chat it up with whomever he could to listen about his time in Colorado, his photography skills, his bike, or various adventures. My favorite part of this is when he compares his view of the store to Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. Priceless.
I believe Jim is now homeless. He has been seen in the vicinity of the new store, which was erected in place of the old T51, but looks pretty worn down. I only hope it didn't stem from the store closing down.

An excerpt from World Wide Magazine, a public access TV show from St. Louis, MO. The show was created by the late Pete Parisi.
This contains several clips of Dave "The Dumptruck" Perry, a regular on the show and local wrestler (who wrestled at the South Broadway Athletic Club or SBAC), taken from the Golden Moments best of tape and introduced by P.E.P. himself.
The final clip showcases Parisi's editing and use of music, which for an amateur show, was quite impressive.

This is the trailer that I made in 2003 for the hour long documentary entitled "P.E.P.". It deals with the life of the late Pete Parisi and his infamous public access television program "World Wide Magazine", which aired from 1985-2001 in St. Louis, MO. The doc features interviews with John Carney of KMOX radio, Paul Schankman of KTVI Fox 2, Radio Rich Dalton of K-HITS 96 FM, and from WWM, Vladimir Noskov AKA The Mad Russian, The Feeney Brothers, Big Mike, Angelo Stamengia AKA Uncle Nunzio and Hung Wei Lo. It also features clips from the World Wide Magazine program.
Technically, I'm not too happy with the quality of the trailer, but it has some good clips from WWM in it.

This was part of a series of programming bumpers on KDHX-TV, the community access station in St. Louis, MO. It starred and was written by radio personality Joy Grdnic. This was one of four pieces that I made with Joy, as a director, editor, and creative consultant. There was a bit of discussion over whether or not to make this video, but I thought it was one of the more interesting one's that Joy wrote and had more visual possibilities to it. It was also shown at the Cinema St. Louis Filmmakers' Showcase in 2005 and apparently went over quite well.
My only complaint is that I never got the audio right.

This is one of several promos I made as an intern at KDHX-TV, the public access station in the city of St. Louis, MO. This one was for their classic movies show. I'm not even sure how often it aired because I stopped getting Charter cable shortly after I started my gig there. It's one of the more fun pieces I worked on though.

This contains several clips of Miss Cathy, a regular on the show, taken from the Golden Moments best of tape and introduced by P.E.P. himself. The first few were ongoing bits between Pete and Cathy. The final bit is between Cathy and Marty's brother Mark with a fine Betty Boop soundtrack.
