DUANE GRAVE, if there was an award for THE COOLEST FRIEND EVER, you would win hands down (no pun intended)!!! Up Syndrome is the best film I have ever seen! Your film comes in at #1 of my all time favorites (sorry Vincent Gallo, Buffalo 66 is now #2). This is the most positive, awesomely funny, and most realistic portrait of a person with Down syndrome ever created. This world would be a much better place if every person could see the first opening bit of your film where Rene is riding his bike. That imagery with your dialog is incredible! I'm the mom of a 9 year old who has Down syndrome and I am so sick of people apologizing and saying they are sorry. There is nothing to be sorry about and you illustrate this concept in less than 2 minutes! I can't wait to view more of your work. Thanks making this awesome film, for being Rene's friend, and giving him a chance to drive; that was great! -Kate
