I am a complete nutcase when it comes to Theatre Organs , the Consoles and their Music. Love the Barton Organs best ,then Wurlitzers and all others. Admire people that can play well on a electronic Theatre Organ like the Gulbransen , Rodgers amongst others. Own several organs myself. Expect early June 2008 a Wurlitzer 950TA arriving from the USA . My dream would be to collect all those great instruments for the day that sure will come and that incredible instrument will come back as a revival in all theatres and homes.Lots of them have ended up in the open fireplace,a true shame indeed. Nothing can replace that warm and romantic feeling that comes along with the sound of the Theatre Organ. Admire Mr. Hammond for his creation , but get not much inspiration when I listen to Jazz B3 players. It al sounds more or less the same. Sorry , I have no intention to offend anybody , it is just the way I feel. Hurray for the Toy Chamber ,Glocks ,Whistle and Tom Tom !!
