Considered an indie on a major. Formed in 1997 after youngest sibling wrote their first song at age 8, were given opportunity to perform/grow in local coffee house/rock venue, played 100's of shows as unsigned indie for 4 years ('98 - '02) until grabbing their first Nat'l fan-base at Cornerstone Fest' in Summer '02 followed by an invitation from friends in Midlake to open at a 21+ bar, giving them visibility to the many clubs in DFW - positioning them for a prime slot at the Dallas New Music Festival in Fall '02 where the Deep Ellum movers / shakers attended. Much hoopla followed and within 2 weeks - labels, managers, club owners, attorneys, etc were watching young "MossEisley's" show in front of packed-out, home crowd at the band's alma-mater (all-age) club - The Door. Hype, press (the music industry) followed resulting in endless showcasing in LA/NY giving Eisley top pick from a long list of majors witch concluded in a relationship with Warner Bros. in early '03. 2 EP's + 2 Full Lengths (+ several B-side) later, Eisley's steady growth and credibility as writers / performers comes from the live side (touring). The band's undaunted commitment to their own unique, visually imaginative brand has, perhaps, curbed access to mass homogenized portals such as FM radio, though, single - "Telescope Eyes" charted on Dallas rock radio (102.1 The Edge) as 24th most played song in 2003. Indifferent to industry boundaries / conventions, Eisley continues their expansion (invasion :-) centered around adherence to the their own creative style, devotion to song-crafting, commitment to on-line (relational, tangible) marketing, and an unquenchable passion for touring. Eisley made their TV debut on Conan O'brien in August '07 and are playing Sun Dance Film Festival in January '08. Tours - big and small are being slated for 2008.
