About the servicemen, workers, and civilians.... DU is also used in all commercial planes here in the US (3,300 lbs on each). Boeing allegedly said they switched to tungsten but DU is provided for free since it's a waste product like fluoride. This will explain why planes can penetrate just about anything....

Just kidding. Anyways, I found new information about Depleted Uranium. Gather Around! Uranium is the heaviest and naturally occurring element on the periodic table that breaks down until it's a simpler compound such as Helium and etc. Now, depleted uranium is not naturally occurring and is very, very unstable. This means that it will be shooting off particles (neutrons, elections, etc) and breakdown as well, but have much more of a nastier, messier breakdown. This will ultimately cause cancer, death, and seeing God at the same time! Sounds like a pretty good package, huh? |
