Age: 33
O' Plunge the depths of darkness deep
The human soul's despair,
O' troll the pits of moral sea
The human heart lurks there.
O' climb the righteous mountain steep
No evil there to find,
But wary O our slippery feet
in we no good in kind

In darkness so doth malice thrive,
O' light in thee it can't sustain
Illuminated by the site
Of one whose death was our refrain,
Of one whose death is our refrain.

O' bleak and somber day that chose
The falseness of a lie
O' thence that fateful time sin rose
Our hearts made us to die.
O' that thine will has given o'r
To temporal decay
But one still lives beyond the grave
Who takes those things away.

In darkness so doth malice thrive,
O' light in thee it can't sustain
Illuminated by the site
Of one whose death was our refrain,
Of one whose death is our refrain.

O' restless souls in he find peace
And hectic heart's reprieve,
O' weary fight with sin doth cease
His light has bid it leave.
O' baleful acts are thus not that
Which evil finds is true,
But evil found its very self in good we never do.

In darkness so doth malice thrive,
O' light in thee it can't sustain
Illuminated by the site
Of one whose life was our refrain,
Of one whose life is our refrain.

J.A Green

Theist, Philosopher, Computer Scientist, Thinker, Historian. Among my greatest loves is knowledge. There is nothing quite like it. As the Apostle Paul said "test every thing, hold on to the good".

I am driven by my desire to expose that which seems so fundamental to me, the world beyond the intellectual curtain, beyond the sensory perceptions we are told are tantamount to "real". I believe that something of far greater importance, and far more vivid reality lay beyond those limitations. As CS Lewis said

"For they [the sensory objects] are not the thing itself; they are only the scent of a flower we have not found, the echo of a tune we have not heard, news from a country we have never yet visited."

So many of the things we mistakenly attribute to that which resides within our senses are reflections of this other place. Beauty, love, and goodness being greatest among them. A beautiful sonata, the love one feels for another or an idea, the goodness within acts of charity or within true morals, are not actually conditions of said things, these things are merely sign posts pointing in the direction of their origin. They are moons which have no light of their own but rather reflect the abundant light of the source. This is why we can never be truly fulfilled by the material objects that reflect but don't themselves radiate the light. No one can ever have his fill of goodness, beauty, or truth (for sure they may see the reflection in different objects) because the things which are seen as bearing those conditions cannot deliver them. At that point one is left to perform a logical deduction. If something cannot be found in a certain place, what should one do. Search a different place! As CS Lewis remarked.

"If nothing in this world can fulfill us, doesn't that indicate that we were made for a different world?"

Indeed we were. We were made for a different world. A world in which the source of the the light can be found. A source that offers the fulfillment that was left gaping in our world. That source issues forth from the throne room of God who is the source of truth, goodness, beauty, righteousness, and existence. Keep your spirit focused on the source and I look forward to posting some videos and speaking with you. gnosisandlight

gnosisandlight - You Rock! I love the replies to why is what :)
gnosisandlight | May 07, 2008
Why would one call all babies atheists without knowing?

Isn't that equivocation?

Why would a baby's atheism explain atheism generally?

Why would you call my mirroring of your tactics smug?

Wouldn't that make you smug?

What will you do to prevent my making my position stronger?

What WILL I do to accomplish said ends?

Why would one question God's descicion if the Jews were a good choice?

Who would have been a better choice?

Why did you chose to ask that question?

What else couldn't it be if it is incorrect?
