Hellooo,
I'm 19, just finishing my grade 12 (I took a year off to work, so now I'm compressing it into a couple of months). I live in sunny okanagan, BC - most people dont know about it, but its debated to be the nicest place in Canada. I'm engaged to Josh, my sexy boyfriend, and we have a 1.5 yr old cat, Yuri. Thinking of doing videoblogging (once I get a webcam) but not too sure. I have a lot to say, but who knows where my words will pop up later in life.... But meh, I can't run for president anyways, so who cares.

Interests and Hobbies: Reading, writing, photography (but my camera keeps breaking), criminology and behavioral analysis, law, travelling (yeah, I wish), watching tv, movies at home (I don't like the theatre... 2 hours without talking or cigarettes, and I'm paying for this?) video games - really dumb ones usually: the sims 2, harvest moon, heroes of might and magic, Space Channel 5 (just for kicks), oh and Parrappa the rapper. Haven't played it for years, but I gotta get me a copy! I also looooove tycoon (PC). For the record, Josh is a big gamer too, so we have Xbox, PS2 mini, gamecube, gameboy advance and SuperNintendo. Also, eating a 'big salad' and making fun of Prez Bush (not that that's difficult at all). And doing extensive research on Disneyland for my Sept '07 honeymoon that probably won't happen (because of money, not because of my man). Oh and making obscure movie references at inappropriate times.
Movies and Shows: Shows: Yes Dear! (i'm on a big kick right now), Seinfeld, Ellen (sometimes), Friends, Passions (if I want to make fun of it), Big Brother when its on (I don't know how that crept up on me), the OC (our Thursday night pleasure) CSI and criminal minds (but I was interested in criminology before the show - I'm not just another trend follower). Oh, and the greatest show ever, Joe Schmo, which, unfortunately, requires the element of surprise and cant be done again! :( Movies: Ghost World, Overboard, 10 Things I Hate About You (did you know that was based on Shakespeare?), Breakfast Club, Pitch Black, Lilo & Stitch, Princess Bride, Spaceballs, Sideways, The Big Lebowski, The Tao of Steve, Harold and Kumar, 40 Year old Virgin, Batman Begins (huge respect for batman - one of the few superheroes without powers - just a regular (rich) joe), Pretty Woman (until I found out Gere and Roberts hated each other during filming), Sleepless in Seattle, Runaway Bride and You've Got Mail (both on their own merrits, not on the repeat actors), Seven, Ray, It Could Happen to You, All of Me, Emperor's New Groove, The Incredibles, Fight Club, Philladelphia and Finding Nemo. Sorry their all mixed up: disney and violence, 80's to present.
Music: Oh, so much. Jason Mraz, Jamiroquoi, Modest Mouse, the Killers, Incubus, David Grey, Bruce Springsteen, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, Gnarls Barkley, Chicago, City and Colour, Matthew Good Band, Dave Matthews Band, Phil Collins, Stevie Wonder, Linkin Park (Hybrid Theory CD)... so many others I can't list...
Books: Anything by Robert Cormier - twisted and eerie, but so wonderful; Sydney Sheldon books (great law drama, not boring like Grishams can be); Geek Love by Catherine Dunn - again very twisted, follow a hunchback albino midget through her life in her family's freak show; Some of Stephen Kings work, like The Stand (oh... amazing) The Shining, the Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, Dreamcatcher (but I can't get through a second time) etc; Memoirs of a Geisha (an unknown book when I read it - still haven't seen the movie). A series called "countdown" was really interesting when I was younger (think 'The Stand' for a younger audience) and K.A. Applegate's Everworld series is phenomenal. She has another series, Making Out, which is pretty much a soap opera, but I loved it! Just be glad I'm not in the Babysitters Club fad I used to be in (admittedly, I was 14 though).
