Toyota makes reliable cars, but their starters are known to wear down their contacts and just *click* when the key is turned - if yours starts doing this (and other times cranks right up), it's not the motor or the solenoid, it's just these contacts! I filmed my repairs done *without* removing the starter from the car in the hopes it would help others; the car starts now without a click, but I didn't get the plunger-type contact, so my grinding job is all that is between me and another repair - order both the contacts and plunger if *you* do this job! This is from a later series of instructional videos done by Shihan Nishiuchi - he would have rather had the same simple white backdrop as before, but the producers added the clutter of items in the background for "product placement". I also had to cut some distracting sound and visual effects. Shihan will be getting me some more in the future. Have fun!
