a magical land where animals talk and wear wigs of their own free will. really.
Name: Pogo
I am a professional children's storyteller-actor-artist-desig ner-singer-oracle-gad-a-bout-t own gal. I perform a lot with Theatre Movement Bazaar and We Tell Stories in addition to co-hosting Ten Tops at Sacred Fools Theater in LA.
I pop up all over town as myself. Preferebly for cash.
I like making stuff from things found curbside or around the house.
Country: United States
Occupation: core member storyteller
Companies: we tell stories
Interests and Hobbies: karaoke, thrift stores, urban hiking, making stuff from stuff other people throw away.
Movies and Shows: Wuthering heights, Subset Boulevard, Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?, Babe-Pig in the City, pillow Talk, The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T, City of Lost Children. I LOVE Dirt and The Riches right now, I am very fickle. I still love The Shield and Nip Tuck(we almost broke up). I have a sexless marriage with LOST. Smallville and I can hardly be in the same room with each other anymore..
Music: Dean Martin, Willie Nelson, Rachel Yamagata, Violent Femmes, Perez Prado, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Satie, Patsy Cline, ELO
sorta everything except elevator, industrial and pop-country.
Books: The Abandoned By Paul Gallico, Tigana By Guy Gavriel Kay, The Killing Doll By Ruth Rendell. The Oz Booke series (all 13 plus XiXI of IX) By L.F. Baum. The Chronicles of Narnia-which I have been re-reading regularly since the age of 8. By C.S. Lewis. I really love this book called shadow of the werewolf about a WWII spy who is also a WEREWOLF. It cracks me up--I re-read it frequently .
(I was one of those kids in the 70's that was taught to speed-read, which is sort of like eating your food really really fast. I had to teach myself to savor rather than to devour books.)
