America n-born actor Jay Brigham, was raised in Arizona where he attended Powell Junior High and showed his first interest in theater by auditioning for the school's musical "Once on This Island", a junior Broadway spin-off of the award-winning Broadway show, landing a supporting role as "Agwe" the water god. Satisfied with his performance, Jay continued to pursue his theatrical interest and developed his craft throughout high school landing several notable Shakespeare leads as Mercutio, Romeo, Demetrious, Macbeth and Othello. Catching the eye of teachers inspired by his talent, Jay was encouraged and succeeded in landed a spot in Camp Broadway, a musical theater intensive camp held yearly at Arizona State University. Upon conclusion of the camp, Jay earned most comedic actor with his comedy entitled "The Circle of Grease", a meshed spoof of the popular productions, "Grease" and The Lion King. Trenched in theater success, Jay participated in the Omega Shi Phi Talent Competition in Seattle, Washington and earned 3rd Place with a heart-stopping monologue performance. Graduating in 2003 from Westwood High School in Arizona, Jay was awarded The Dean Hunt Spirit Award and Actor of The Year awarded by the student body. Following high school, Jay traveled to New York where he competed in the 2005 International Model and Talent Association, he earned several awards including the 2005 IMTA Actor of The Year award. Returning home in 2006, Jay auditioned for Television's WB6 Pak and racked up enough votes to make the show but was disqualified because he was not of age. Failing to make the WB SixPak, Jay wrote and produced a 15-minute Internet documentary entitled "The Truth about Men" which has amassed over 200,000 plays and 400 comments worldwide earning him a spot on the Internet's viral video chart in 2007 reaching the status of "googable" in the summer of 2008. With his fan base continuing to spread, Jay landed a roll as Public Defender Kaleel James in the film by Synthetic Human Pictures entitled "I'm Voting Republican", a spoof making light of the 2008 election. In July 2008, Jay took to the screen for the first time as a lead and enjoyed much success in PIFMG's "The Mating Game", a 3-minute comedy about speed dating. The short is set to compete in IFP's 48-Hour Challenge July 2008. As a member of the nationwide theater troupe, "Murder Mystery Players", Jay completed a dinner theater comedy entitled "Murder In The Mens Room". Jay was cast as the hilarious Dennis DePower, an over-emotional managing partner in a company with serious integrity issues. Murder Mystery Players called for Jay once again to play the infamous Detective Buddy Brown in the troupe's latest production "Date with Death" set to start production in the fall of 2008 with shows scheduled in Tempe and Scottsdale, Arizona.
