The Association of Independent Kentucky Colleges and Universities (AIKCU) is made up of Kentucky's 20 nonprofit independent (private) colleges and universities: Alice Lloyd, Asbury, Bellarmine, Berea, Brescia, Campbellsville, Centre, Cumberlands, Georgetown, Kentucky Christian, Kentucky Wesleyan, Lindsey Wilson, Mid-Continent, Midway, Pikeville, St. Catharine, Spalding, Thomas More, Transylvania, and Union.
