I'm willing to buy a Vitamin String Quartet song off iTunes if you need me to, since I haven't bought any yet and I do like them a lot. The 3 in this video are thanks to my good YouTube friend Taryn (hollywoodgirl2005), and she also provided me some of the dancing songs in the beginning!
I know I spelled "Mainstream" and once "Sinatra" wrong in the video - I caught them myself after I saved it - oops!! Sorry! I was rushing to post it I guess!

Hollywoodgirl2005 and I are hosting a themed contest!! We wanted to do something that hasn't been done before. The Beatles, Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC are bands not vidded to very often so this contest is intended to honor these wonderful artists. There will be 2 categories in this contest and four shows to vid for! Shows allowed in this contest are 'Gilmore Girls,' 'Grey's Anatomy,' 'One Tree Hill,' and 'Smallville.' Crossovers within these shows will be accepted.
The first category is for the Beatles! Videos entered in this category MUST be to a song performed by the Beatles. Covers/remakes of their songs will NOT be accepted -- this includes songs on the 'Across the Universe' soundtrack. Songs performed by the members of the Beatles in their solo careers (John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr) will NOT be accepted either. We love the songs of these artists but this part of the contest is just to honor the Beatles as a band.
The second category is for the two popular boy bands *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys! Videos in this category MUST be to a song by either of these artists that was recorded in or before the year 2001. For the Backstreet Boys (BSB), this means that videos must be to songs recorded through their "Greatest Hits Volume I" album (including the song "Drowning"). Songs from their last 2 albums will NOT be accepted. For *NSYNC, this means videos must be set to songs recorded through their last album, "Celebrity." Same rules apply to this category as with the Beatles category. We will NOT accept songs by the members of these bands from their solo careers (no Justin Timberlake, Nick Carter, Brian Littrell solo acts, etc...). This is just for these boy bands :)
All videos MUST be to one of the four shows mentioned above ('Gilmore Girls,' 'Grey's Anatomy,' 'One Tree Hill,' and 'Smallville'). They can be of anything related to the show (couple, character, cast, friendship videos, etc...). We love creativity so have fun with it!!
Each contestant will be allowed to enter 2 videos PER show!! This makes for a possible 8 entries for people who vid for all four shows!
Old and New videos will be accepted!!
Now for the fun stuff!! PRIZES!!
We believe everyone is a winner and deserves something for all the hard work put into their videos!! Everyone who enters this contest will receive a friend invite from both hollywoodgirl2005 and me!!
There will be first, second and third place winners for each show in each category. This makes for a total of 24 winners!! Out of the winners in each category, one video will be chosen as the Best of the Best. There will be a Best of the Best winner for each category!!
Third place winners will receive comments on 3 of their videos.
Second place winners will choose from receiving 1 background made for their channel or comments on 6 of their videos.
First place winners will receive 1 background made for them AND comments on 10 of their videos!!
Now for the 2 Best of the Best winners, they will receive the prizes given to the first place winners in addition to a video made for them. The winners can choose from any of the four shows in this contest and any song by the Beatles or BSB or *NSYNC allowed in this contest. (PLEASE NOTE: if you win the Best of the Best, please keep in mind, that clips for 'One Tree Hill' and 'Grey's Anatomy' are limited. Hollywoodgirl2005 mainly has Lucas & Peyton clips for 'One Tree Hill' so she would only be able to make Lucas or Peyton character videos or Leyton videos. She does have enough clips for a decent cast video but not enough for Brucas or Naley videos -- sorry! I mainly have clips for Alex/Izzie, Derek/Addison, Addison/Alex, Addison/Mark, or Addison character videos. I might also be able to make a decent Merder, Christina/Burke or Hahn/Callie video).
A few things to note and give proper credit to. Hollywoodgirl2005 is not really familiar with the plot of 'Gilmore Girls' just as I am not all that familiar with the plot of 'One Tree Hill.' Hollywoodgirl2005 knows the plot of 'One Tree Hill' and I know the plot of 'Gilmore Girls' really well so we will be filling each other in during our judging process. For the other two shows we both know the plots really well.
For this video, Hollywoodgirl2005 made the parts with the clips from 'One Tree Hill' and 'Smallville' as well as the pictures in the beginning and I made the parts with clips from 'Gilmore Girls' and 'Grey's Anatomy' as well as adding the title animation!

These are 11 videos I've started making, some as long ago as in February, but simply gave up on. I don't really plan on finishing any of them but if your heart is set on one or two let me know and I'll consider revisiting it. I'm just mainly uploading this because I thought I might as well share what I do have so far with all of these - even the ones that are only one or two scenes long so far! I have a few more that wouldn't fit in YouTube's time restraints for one video so those will appear, along with some previews for videos I DO plan to finish, in a second "I've Been Tagged" video I'm working on thanks to rjllfan and lolllipoppsx333 (and maybe someone else) tagging me after I'd already made my first "Tagged" video... So look for that later today too!

Smallville: A Clark & Lois aka Clois fanvid I started making for FerryboatDreamer's 80s contest, but I ended up deciding the song had too many lyrics about how Lois would be using up all of Clark's money, so it didn't seem to work for me. I ended up making my She Drives Me Crazy video instead.

Gilmore Girls: This is one that I have had the idea for for forever, and I think the song really does fit Lorelai's character perfectly... but for some reason I've been having trouble proceeding with the actual video!

Gilmore Girls: It would be a really sweet Luke/Lorelai video that didn't include any of the time that they were actually a couple, it would just lead up to their first kiss... Grey's Anatomy: I wanted to make my first Grey's Anatomy video, so I thought why not Meredith & Derek? But Now all the sites I know of for Merder clips have been shut down. :'( So I can't even get started with it! The song, if you know it, has the refrain "You know I love you but I'm playing for keeps..." which is why I thought that opening audio would work. This is another video I started for FerryboatDreamer's 80s contest but ended up not finishing.

LOL.

In Smallville's season 7, episodes 13-20 of the season, there is a storyline about Veritas, a secret society formed by the Teagues, the Swanns, the Luthors, and the Queens to welcome a traveler from another planet. The mystery that is Veritas is a combination of determining who the Traveler is, if he's meant for good or evil, how to protect him, and how to control him. The video is about everyone involved!
I've made 2 other videos to Sarah McLachlan songs, and this one was always a favorite of mine, but I'd never even considered the possibility of making a video set to it until I stumbled across Kerry's brilliant and perfect Mohinder video - you have to check it out if you haven't seen it! Then I thought about all the shows I vid for and realized this storyline could fit the song!
I included almost all clips from episodes 13-20 of season 7 of Smallville, but I also included a few from seasons 3, 4, and 6 to show the Swanns, Teagues, and Queen (there was only one Queen on the show, and he was Oliver, lol). I didn't include as much audio as I would have liked nor all the scenes that might have been relevant and cool to include. But I ran out of song! So just enjoy the video. I tried to match almost every single lyric!

"Opposite Sex" was a FOX television series that ran for only 8 episodes before being canceled. It aired in the year 2000 when Milo Ventimiglia was 23 years old and Allison Mack was only 18 years old!
Milo, the main star of the show, played Jed Perry - a virgin 15-year-old who had just moved to a new town with his single father and an older brother who was quite the ladies' man. Jed didn't realize he would be one of only 3 boys to attend Evergreen Academy, which in all previous years had been an all girls school.
Allison played Kate Jacobs, also a virgin... she is way too smart for her own good, and has chosen to take all four years of high school despite being smart enough to skip multiple grades, so she is forced to do things like run an adult book club and stuff... but while she may be book smart she is still learning how to be a teenage girl falling in love and is easily hurt along the way...
I just had a chance to watch all 8 episodes thanks to BackGroundNoise0812 and their wonderful posting of all 8 episodes here on YouTube! :D You definitely should check them out too!
I think I may follow in the footsteps of people like fadingspark, SassyLostie, net12345678912345678, and of course elviriel and make a Chloe Sullivan & Peter Petrelli video (a crossover of Smallville and Heroes since I do watch both shows as well as Gilmore Girls, which Milo starred in for a period as Jess Mariano...). But we'll see. Peter & Chloe are a natural couple to ship because Chloe always is supporting the hero in Clark in Smallville and in Heroes all Peter wants to do is be a hero...
But still I think I might make another Jed/Kate video if people like this one - I was thinking maybe set to Joshua Radin's "The Fear You Won't Fall"? Does anyone like that idea?
Oh - and I didn't use any effects - sorry, but I thought even the weird subtitles at parts were better than trying to zoom and make the scene look awkward, the quality of the clips isn't perfect, so I made do with what I had!
And of course - it's Kate's point of view if that wasn't obvious, and I was simply trying my best to match the lyrics...
Finally - I got the clips from chloesullivansite.com mainly! And the other 2 I downloaded from YouTube, as described in the credits at the end of the video! :D

I've had this idea for months now... but today I finally sat down and made it. (I know I was supposed to be judging the 3 Challenges at my site, but I got tired of judging, sorry!)
I'm not a big Simone fan. In fact... I really didn't like her much at all. But I didn't HATE her like a lot of you - I don't know why, but I find it hard to hate characters. Always. Even Voldemort - I kind of like him. Lol. It's just something about me.
And I may not like Simone, but I adore Peter. And Peter loved Simone! He really did. We may not understand why, but he was in love with her from the first moment he saw her - and therefore I had a desire to make a video from his point of view. I don't think Simone is all that "beautiful" in the traditional sense of the word - but I'm sure Peter does.
I think James Blunt does a WONDERFUL job with sad songs - I've made Gilmore Girls videos to "Goodbye My Lover" and "Cry" and used "Same Mistake" as a background song for an ER video. And while this song is, on the surface, about 100 times happier than all 3 of those songs, and James Blunt himself said it isn't supposed to mean anything, it's just a simple song, I feel that the way he sings it and the way the song ends makes it a heartbreaking and sad song.
And given the very limited time Peter had with Simone - partially because she couldn't decide if she still loved Isaac and partially because she died - I thought a sad song like this would be perfect.
I used the clean radio edit version of the song because I don't think the word "f***ing" fits at all with the mood of the song, and also because Peter does tell Simone that he thinks he's meant for something more than just being a hospice nurse - and that all starts with him dreaming he can fly!
Anyway, I used very few effects, just a lot of flashback transitions and slowed-down clips. And some zooms - the zooms/crops are always just so you can't see the credits on the bottom of the screen. Sorry if you think it's too much (with all the transitions and everything). Again I just made this in one day, so it's not my best work. But I still think it captures all the best Peter/Simone moments in all their glory and matches all the lyrics! :D
Enjoy! And please leave comments!! But don't hate on the couple, personally I'm a Peter/Caitlin shipper but I like every Peter ship from time to time!

Dean's point of view in seasons 2 and 3 on how Rory doesn't have the same feelings for him anymore, and how her love is just a lie. Jess isn't really all that important in the video except for the fact that he's the main thing Rory is hiding from Dean - she's not really cheating on Dean with him as the explicit version of this song heavily implies, but emotionally she is. She even does kiss Jess while still dating Dean. And yet when Jess touches her she thinks about Dean and pulls away...
Rory also sort of is lying to Dean about Tristan (it's brief but if you see it in my video that's what I was thinking when I included it), and after she and Dean have broken up and Rory is dating Jess, she's trying to be nice to Dean but Dean can never completely forgive her... or accept that she is really happy with Jess...
I don't know if this is my best of my 3 Gilmore Girls videos set to Simple Plan songs, but I'm entering it in SabioSilverWolf's contest anyway because it's my newest one. I hope you enjoy it just the same.

I wanted to enter Laura's (PinkRosePictures88) summer contest, since it seemed like so much fun! :D And she said she watched Smallville, Heroes, and Gilmore Girls... so as I was looking for summery songs I stumbled across this one! And I didn't like it that much at first but I thought the lyrics would be easy enough to match. I decided to make it about my favorite couple from each of the 3 shows! And as I made the video the song REALLY grew on me - so I hope you guys can learn to like it too! It's kind of a sad song, about how great one summer a guy (the singer) had with this girl, and how when the summer ended she was gone and now summertime will never be the same for him. But the summer with his girl was so great, so it's still a happy enough video! Also - it works accurately for the shows involved since it looks like West may be gone for good, possibly, and Lana has finally left Clark for good and Rory and Jess broke up as well.
UPDATE July 14, 2008: I won first place in the contest! :D Yay me!! :D

So I just started renting the DVDs of Six Feet Under... and I've completely fallen in love
So I just started renting the DVDs of Six Feet Under... and I've completely fallen in love with this amazing show! Being only up to the 11th episode of season 2, I would prefer not to have the rest of the series spoiled for me - so please be courteous! But I did a little research and know that Claire and Gabe's scenes together are over except for a cameo in season 3... and so I thought it'd be the perfect time to make a Claire/Gabe video.
I thought this song fit Claire Fisher's point of view perfectly, because "who knew" Gabriel Dimas would go psycho? Alright... everyone knew - the audience and everyone around her. She even knew, but didn't want to accept it because she loved Gabe and thought she could change him, fix him, save him, whatever. But I think that is exactly what the song says! Everyone else knew better... but she didn't.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy my first Six Feet Under video! I know very few people will watch this... so if you are someone who is watching, PLEASE comment!! Thanks. Even if you don't know this show - of course, if you don't, PLEASE CHECK IT OUT - it's outstanding!
