You posed a very good question but I wish to ask you to study verse 1 of the text in question. it says"...if a man..." this says nothign about if a woman. And I beleive that God anoints and appoints men and well and women to lead his people. To say otherwise would undermine and derogate the power of God. This is God's church and by His authority leader and appointed, elected, etc...
