I have an idea for the next episode: Dad wakes up in the middle of the night to bright flashing lights outside the window, he discovers a mother ship has landed in the yard. The leader introduces himself as the king of the Zaxonians and that they want to learn about Earth. Dad starts going off on one of his rants and the aliens get bored and take off into space, leaving a large ring burned into the lawn. The next day the son asks what happened and the Dad says, "I think it was that friend of yours Shane. That guy scares me!"
