I am absolutely opposed to a national ID card. This is a total contradiction of what a free society is all about. The purpose of government is to protect the secrecy and the privacy of all individuals, not the secrecy of government. We don't need a national ID card.

youtube gets peoples videos out so people can enjoy them, i see it as free marketing, its not taking antyhting away from viacom, their just scared of losing a buck

if they shut down you tube i will put a cheese cake knife through my neck.

on the other hand, viacom owns comedy central....it's the only channel i watch really. if the owners of the material in question do not want to share it, would there actually be anything anyone could do about it? everything in this country revolves around business anyway, if they think for a second that they're losing any amount of money on even one video clip, you can bet they'll bring suit. And besides, it wouldn't be the end of youtube, it would just be reduced to non-copywrited crap like vanilla ice 'rapping' about turbo tax, or some chinese kid jumping off a roof into the bed of a moving truck and breaking 3 ribs...it would suck, but it would still be here. just food for thought.

I'm not sure how a boycot of viacom would go, but if they threaten to disturb youtube, i would definately be onbaord with a protest....whatever we gotta do, I'm in.
