Killed in Fighting 432,705
Starved to death 342,970

Contradictions in chinese propaganda:
1 ) Chinese always compare life level in Tibet 1950 with modern. But it's incorrect. CORRECT IS compare life level TIBET 1950 with CHINA 1950 they are quite compareble.
2 ) China claims that 95% of tibetans were in slavery. As we know that needs a massive force for oppersion. But Tibetan army was only 8000 people,total population of Tibet was 6 000 000 people. So for 1 soldier there were 712 slaves. They must be SUPERSOLDIERS!!!

3)Chinese claim that they possess Tibet for 'thousands years' and Tibet was free from them only for 39 years 1911-1950. So China has to share responsibility for tibetan's 'poverty' and 'slavery'. Why they don't?
4)XIV Dalai-Lama was born in a RURAL family and became monarch by his 5 years. Perfect career for a 'slave'? Tibet political system wasn't oppressive, people lived in peace with no riots. Monks were relatives of usual people.

Under Chinese rule, Tibet is divided into 8 following administrative units:
a) Tibet Autonomous Region,
b) Qinghai Province,
c) Tianzu Tibetan Autonomous County and Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Gansu Province,
d) Aba Tibetan-Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and Mili Tibetan Autonomous County in Sichuan Province,
e) Dechen Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province.
The Government of Tibet in Exile quotes an issue of People's Daily published in 1959 to claim that the Tibetan population has dropped significantly since 1959. According to the article, figures from the National Bureau of Statistics of the People's Republic of China show that the autonomous region of Tibet was populated by 1,273,969 persons. In the Tibetan sectors of Kham, 3,381,064 Tibetans were counted. In Qinghai and other Tibetan sectors that are incorporated in Gansu, 1,675,534 Tibetans were counted. According to the total of these three numbers, the Tibetan population attained 6,330,567 in 1959.

Chendu is the capital of Sichuan region - old Tibetan fortress.
In brilliant movie "7 years in Tibet" it's told about Chendu.
The matter is that China invades in Tibet and nowdays started Olympic torch rally - very humiliating both for Olympic spirit and for Tibetans.
12/05/08 Earthquake shoked Eastern Tibet - this is response for chinese oppression.

Most Tibetans are nomadian, so farmers are the smallest part of Tibetans! That's why chinese numder of Tibetans in 1953 is understated. Nowdays chinese count all Tibetans and that's why number is close to Tibetan Gov. in Exile data.
