also, kakashi did not get his Mangekyo after obito has died. this proves that the Mangekyo shirangan is developed from use of the shirangan, not the fact that their closest friends need to die. this for one could be the fact why itachi always have shirangan on ,or either he is going blind from over use of mangekyo shirangan, but this itself could be the writer of naruto trying to throw us off.

No, I haven't, I'll admit that. Although as stated in part two of the Obitobi theory, maybe you don't ahve to directly kill them to get the mangekyou? All I'm saying is, don't rule it out completely. There's still a chance that th Obitobi theory is right.

D| Well, Kakuzu or Sasori could have remade that part of his body, obviously. And we don't know the condition of his eye. For all you know, it might not have been crushed. And perhaps they didn't know he was an Uchiha? Plus, if they figured out that he had amnesia or something(you have to admit that it's a possibility) then it would make it easier to sway him to their side than any other Uchiha. Plus, he might have still been alive when they found him, so they wouldn't have to find someway to revive said 'corpse'.
Just becuase he might have had amnesia doesn't mean that he has to remember everything or nothing. It's entirely possible that he could remember the Uchiha thing and not the Konoha thing. And maybe he found out about it later?
