Strangely enough, this definitely is a non-european trend (read:'an English-speaking- countries'trend'). I have never experienced such an empty chatter with european users. That might well be a matter of culture, but please remember I find it really nonsensical. Sure it is my bad, as I seem to be unable to understand such a strange habit. That's why I would be very grateful if you would avoid reminding me this unability I have, by simply averting to post such empty comments in this place.

Si sono verificati violenti scontri nell'est dell'India tra la polizia e i manifestanti, durante uno sciopero organizzato per protestare contro l'uccisone degli abitanti dei villaggi più poveri che si oppongono all'industrializzazione delle loro terre. Il governo del Bengala Occidentale, infatti, ha previsto di istituire una zona speciale per industrie chimiche nel Nandigram, 150 chilometri a sud-ovest di Calcutta, ma ha dovuto interrompere il progetto quando gli abitanti dei villaggi si sono rifiutati di rinunciare alle proprie terre. Almeno dodici i feriti durante gli scontri mentre alcuni autobus sono stati bruciati. Lo sciopero ha interressato scuole, uffici e uomini d'affari che hanno attraversato lo stato del Bengala occidentale bloccando ogni mezzo di trasporto possibile, compresi i treni. "Siamo spiacenti per i disagi che provochiamo alle persone", ha affermato Mamata Banerjee, leader del Congresso di Trinamul, il principale partito di opposizione che ha organizzato le proteste odierne. "Ma gli abitanti dei villaggi poveri, nel tentativo di proteggere le loro terre, vengono uccisi dai membri del partito comunista a Nandigram e noi non possiamo più ignorare questi gravi fatti", ha aggiunto la Banarjee.
