About Peter Cooper Band

Peter Cooper Band was formed in 1999 and has been growing stronger with each successive year. Studying with Danny Aiello and Wu Tang Clan guitarist and musician Jimmy Prav was the beginning of it all in 1996. He continued to study and practice and began cutting his teeth on the New York City blues scene, attending jams at all times. Cooper was born and raised in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn.

After honing his skills he played with many bands that never really went anywhere. He decided to take matters into his own hands and began his recording and touring career. In 1999 he began a working relationship with former Cult drummer (who has worked with Julian Lennon, Johnny Thunders and The Hellfire Club) who has helped him in his recording projects to this day, by allowing the youngster a comfortable and friendly place to record his music, and also allowing Cooper full creative control over his vision. He has recorded in NYC, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles, and has played his music all over the country traveling with his wife. They own a home in Louisiana near New Orleans.
