The 4th and 5th Amendment is crucial for limited government. The 4th Amendment ensures that the government cannot arbitrarily invade your property or privacy. Regarding the 5th Amendment, substantial due process is the same as the British concept, natural justice. Double jeopardy, that isn't applied strictly in the UK and I agree with that; the law is based on reason, if DNA evidence proof post-trial that an acquitted defendant was guilty beyond all reasonable doubt, then there should be a retrial. The concept of double jeopardy was developed before DNA and forensic evidence.
The 14th Amendment, habeas corpus: since the "War on Terror", both the US and UK governments have been curtailing this fundamental civil liberty. I am going to do a new vide soon about this, as right now Parliament is debating whether to extend detention without charge to 42 days! This is horrific! Hope this helps and thanks for the support.
