you have great taste in music. It was a buzz to listen to what you have posted.
records were a pain though... the act of pulling an album out of its jacket set up a static charge that caused dust to immediately stick to it...so even on the first play you had static, pops and hisses. With 45s it wasnt as bad ...also you tended to play 45s on much poorer quality turn tables so you did not notice the impact of dust. The best part of turn tables was that you could manually spin them backwards - I listened carefully to the Beatles White Album and Abby Road many times listening for the secret messeges... like "John is dead"... LOL... uh.. there was nothing - just music run backwards. |
