These bodyguards (Red & Sonny West and Dave Hebler) claim they wrote `Elvis, What Happened' out of love and loyalty and to help Elvis.
At the time of this Concert Elvis had seen tid-bits of the book these guys had written slamming him, in the following 2 months Elvis's health went downhill fast.
The morning of his death, Elvis was reading a copy of this book and was devastated, calling what these men did 'the worst kind of betrayal imaginable.' He was worried sick even more about his fans and what Lisa Marie would go through if she ever read the pack of lies and exaggerations.
It proved to much for The King as his image was of utmost importance to him. These guys knew that Elvis cared greatly what people thought of him, so they went for the throat!!!

His vocal range was constantly getting better as was his musical genius in orchestrating his songs. The bolony that Elvis was becoming worse is a myth. EDIT(worse, meaning, the mess that Elvis was losing his voice was rampant in 1976/77 was simply not true)

I am sick of seeing videos where people say (Elvis was drunk, Elvis forgot the words) that is BS, Elvis was over-worked, yes he was medicated but Elvis didn't care much for drinking. Towards the end, sometimes he did forget the words but were talking 6 to 8 weeks before his death. Good grief give the man a break!!! Elvis said it best when asked about his image as the King of Rock n Roll he said the image is one thing but living up to it is, then he fell silent. I can't imagine how hard that would be. The ongoing Custody Battle Took a turn for the worse when Britney refused to give the kids back after a visitation leading to police being called in on a Custodial Interference issue. No charges were filed. Britney Spears was taken to the Hospital where as of Jan 5th she still remained under close supervision. Spears was visited Saturday by Dr. Phil McGraw, who counsels people on his popular television program, "The Dr. Phil Show."
I pray she is getting the help she needs.
Sadly this will close the door on any un-supervised visits with her children...Britney was not intoxicated at the time, as reported by the press earlier.
