The Greenhouse Effect was a legendary band from long ago that existed in the South Bay area of Southern Los Angeles (Redondo Beach Torrance area-ish)...G.E.'s sound was unique and their live concerts were very loud and excellent....there is not that much video footage in existence of G.E. ...what little that there is -- IS RIGHT HERE AT YOUTUBE !!! Greenhouse Effect were a bizarre powerful 3 PIECE band that molded themselves after the Who live at Monterey or the Jamesgang or even Rush and Triumph type cheesey 'classic rock' but strangely, G.e. could mix in a very believable and sincere 'punk rock' vibe into what was already an odd three piece mix !!! Knowing that they had something unique and special , G.e would painstakenly print up the greatest 'promo packages' for record industry companys in Hollywood...G.e would constantly photograph themselves and write extensive bios and they would mail their ideas to the entertainment industry on the West and East Coast from as early as 1986 !!! The early years of g.e. featured guitarist Phil Keegan doing battle with drummer / slash lead vocalist Clark the Shark Hagins...Flipper provided the power on guitar and Shark would provide the Kieth Moon type alcoholic antics and weirdness all the while shouting out professional lead vocals and seldomely missing a beat somehow on his little black premier drumkit as he hit with power !!! As years would go by, Hagins would evolve into a killer lead guitarist and the rest is rock n roll infamy history as Hagins would knock out one killer 'alternative rock' standard of a little diddy of a song after the next; Ben is Dead, Star, White Black, 22nd Street, Dead End Street, Mysogynistia, No Takers, Brandy, Waiting for your Love to fail!, America the Beautiful, God's joke, the ballad of Kurt Cobain, Big Teen Dollar$, Wilson Phillips, Addicted, Irie Bob, manipulation, Theme, People that won't back down....and on and on goes the list of great Clark Hagins songs and fabulous music that can only be from the only band on the planet to sound this entirely unique and all their own; GREENHOUSE EFFECT ....THE IMMORTAL G.E. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
