In Search of ... is a TV documentary series that was broadcast weekly from 1976 to 1982. It was created after two successful hour long TV documentaries, In Search of Ancient Astronauts in 1973 (based on the book Chariots of the Gods), and In Search of Ancient Mysteries in 1975 both with narration by Rod Serling. After the untimely death of Serling, Leonard Nimoy was chosen to be the host of the spin-off series.

Unsolved Mysteries is an American television program that was hosted and narrated by Robert Stack. It first debuted in 1987 and aired from 1988 to 2002 on NBC (1987-97), CBS (1997-99) and Lifetime in 2001-02. It used a documentary format and featured real-life cases of unsolved criminal cases, missing persons, unexplained paranormal phenomena such as alien abductions, ghosts and UFOs, and "alternative history" theories.
