Books, Television, Movies...the all play a part in this thing we call life. But music... is magical! No other medium can almost physically transport us back to certain times and places in our lives..remember friends long gone..loves long lost...places long forgotten. Music has always been a moving force in my life. This channel features the music closest to my heart, memories of my life, friends, loves, and good times. These are videos created by others, not me. This is simply a showcase for their channels and talents. Feel free to use this site as a jump-point to them if you wish. Most of the posters are pretty friendly, and will take requests. Please feel free to jump in and explore. Enjoy! NOTE: IF YOU ARE CHECKING ME OUT AS A RESULT OF SEEING ROTRINGER 78'S BULLITIN STATING THAT I AM A 'VERY DANGEROUS CREATURE.. PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO VIEW MY INTERESTS AND HOBBIES SECTION OF THIS PAGE. THANKS.
Name: Ted
Age: 43
My name is Ted. I'm originally from New Jersey. I'm now in South Florida. Yuck! Moving soon to Colorado. Yay! My wife says I'm a little too honest and open, and I guess I can be. But I stop short of stupidity. I love making friends and meeting people. I really don't watch much live TV..I hate commercials. I also love movies, and music is a special passion (Anything from the 40's to mid-eighties. Some after that, but not much. Not a lot of substance to today's music IMHO. I am married to a wonderful, beautiful woman named Patti. She has the most striking deep blue eyes, so I call her Sapphire. Her user name on here is MyAngelSapphire. She's been burned on other sites, so she is very careful of the friends she accepts. I'm not very political, but have very negative views about the war, though my step-daughter was in Iraq, so I do support the troops. I'm a little crazy (In a good way), can be a harmless flirt, and i love the fact that I am meeting so many great people here.
A serious ground rule here.. I have a very low tolerance for haters, bullies, and biggots. Because i can be very passionate and opinionated, I might get into a heated comment or two on a video page. I will never, however, take it to a person's main page, and i expect the same respect. There will be no hating or drama on this page. If it happens from anyone, friend or not, I will delete the comments, block you promptly, and waste no time reporting and flagging you. This is a very friendly page, and will remain so. I will have none of the drama that I had on my previous account..on this one.

Interests and Hobbies: UPDATE: Okay, I didn't want to do this..I really didn't. But I've been exploring pages that have something to do with Frank Sinatra, and I saw an old bulletin posted by Rottringer78. Those of you that have been my friend have seen the bulletin I posted about him, warning you about his behavior. Well his bulletin is aparently a response to mine. The heading on it reads..and get this: TEDDIBEARSWORLD VERY DANGEROUS CREATURE. Huh. I'm dangerous. He procedes, in the bulletin, to describe, in half truths, the exchanges between us which led to me posting my bulletin. Now, I am wary about new people seeing this bulletin, checking me out.. and not wanting to be friendly because of his claims. So I have decided to cut and paste our exchanges for all to see... and let you decide. Now, to preface this.. let me say, that those who know me.. know my diverse taste in music. It says VERY clearly in my bio that Sinatra and the Beatles are my favorites.. no matter what else you see on my page. If you really look in my favorites, you will see many Sinatra songs in there. If you look at my playlists, there is a playlist devoted to Sinatra. Let me also say that I have been busy, not only with bad events going on in my life, but closing down my prior account, and filling this new one up with all of the old's contents. I subscribed to many accounts, but haven;t really had the time to explore my subscriptions. Rotringer78 was one of the first people whom I subscribed to, because he's got some great songs on his account. So, when I got some free time, I decided to go over to his account, and check out his cache of videos. I did not see any. I wondered why. So I PM'ed him. This is an exact cut and paste of my PM:... "Hi, I'm a subscriber...but I'm not really sure what videos I'm subscribed to any more, as you have no way to see them. Where are all your videos? Thanks, Ted"... I ask you... does that sound rude at all? Did I swear at him, at all? This is his exact response: "hi where is your rating for the Great Sinatra where is Great Sinatra songs your fav. Ratings, not for me.. only for Great Sinatra don't annoy me ! shit songs always rating ..Great Sinatra always " 0 " rating what is this..Shit voices one day 15 000- 40000 Is watched but great Sinatra 2 I watched.. what a Americans..Bravo..dont more talk." ... I was like...what? Because of his broken English, I didn't understand everything.. but he made his general message pretty clear. I was very angry. This is my retort : "You, know what? I contacted you in a friendly way...and you insult me??? You insult my nationality. I did NOT insult you. I did not inault your country. Not that it's any of your business, but I happen to LOVE SINATRA! I probably know more about Sinatra then you. I subscribe to you BECAUSE I love Sinatra. But I will change that. I love many of your songs, but I did not contact you to be treated like shit. I will unsubscribe, and I will tell other people to unsubscribe, and you will loose points. You are rude, insulting, and an asshole. If you did not want to make friends, then why the hell did you come to You Tube? I was just trying to be friendly. Asshole!" Ted. I then proceded to block him, and posted a warning bulletin for others to avoid this kind of attack. And now I see he posted a bulletin to HIS friends.. calling ME foul mouthed and rude. And i was, but only AFTER I had been attacked and swore at. He said I offered no proof. PROOF OF WHAT? That I'm a Sinatra fan? Since when do I have to prove myself to him? He obviously did not look very hard at my faves, or my playlists. And anyway, what does it matter. I merely asked where his videos were. That's all. I said or asked him nothing to warrant that much hostility. And now I hear that he is hacking into others accounts and posting their vids as his own. I don't know if this is true..and I could care less. I just wanted people who DON'T know me, and see his bulletin.. to see what REALLY was said, and who was hostile first. If you want to believe that I am a "Dangerous creature"... that's on you. But I invite you to look at my account...my words...and the comments of those who know me. Or better yet, speak to me yourself. I have nothing to hide.

Finally, the original version of this! Thank you so much. Do you have "A Simple man"?
But anything..virtually anything like that from this era 67-69, has, over the years, been taken as one of the many "clues" about Pauls death. John took particular delight in those "revelations", and were frequently a cause for his amusement. The line "Here's another clue for you all..the walrus was Paul", was a jest on this...and people actually took it as a real clue! That's one of the many (legitimate or not) perks to being a Beatle fan!
On September 29th, 1967, the Beatles were finishing up mixing of the song. Someone (probably John) wanted the tuning sound of an old fashioned radio on the song. The radio was channeled directly into the mixer, and the dial was continuously turned.. coming to rest on Radio 3..on which a broadcat of Shakespeare's "The Tragedy Of King Lear" was being broadcast. The voices you hear start at 2.28 and continue through the fadeout, are directly from that live feed, including the line you hear.
Actually, the original was the Blossoms when the Crystals weren't available. This one is a re-make. There was a long time when the Spector recordings were'nt available due to Spector's legal problems, etc. Many of the surviving artists got together and re-recorded their songs to make them available on the market. Darlene Love, re-recorded her classics apart from the others as self promotion. None of these re-recordings have anything to do with Spector. It's just missing that "sound", that's all.
Man... who was sitting in the room, jumping up..saying.." I know! Ooga-chaka-ooga-ooga! It'll make the song!". The 70's , man! Gotta love em! Thanks!
Playlists
Karen Carpenter posessed one of the most beautiful voices in the history of music. Given the right song, there was a certain magic in her vocals, which could touch your heart, and send a shiver down your spine. She caressed the lyric, and made you feel it's meaning with a truth and.. a deep hint of sadness. She left us in 1983. But when people talk about her, too often they remember the disease that took her life, when it is her music that should be remembered. I've picked out what I feel are her best songs, which had that special magic. If you need to be reminded that there is beauty in this world.. listen to her. Karen, we miss you. Music misses you. You will not be forgotten. Rest In peace.
I found an old alphabetical list of favorite records from my collection back home, and made playlists out of em. These are my REAL favorites. This volume starts with ABC by the J5, and ends with Axel F. I tried to find the original recordings, always searching for the best sound quality..and the full versions. Highlights include the rarely heard full versions of "All By Myself" by Eric Carmen, "Abracadabra" by the Steve Miller Band, This list also includes " As Time Goes By" from Casablanca, sung by Sam himself..Dooley Wilson Some of these I really had to dig for...but worth it. Anything to find the best quality of the full song. The only video of At This Moment, for instance was a Soap Opera tribute, but I got it! I found Dr. John's "Accentuate the Positive", which I never thought I'd find in a million years. It was on a non-hater video someone made for You Tube. I found the original recording of Alice's Restaurant by Arlo (Chopped in two parts, of course. This one also has generous helpings of Sinatra for good measure. A lot of gems in these lists.
Based on an idea from David Marsh, this is MY list in progress of the 1001 greatest songs from the Rock era. Unlike Marsh, it is not limited to just single releases, but includes many album cuts. It explores the many different genres that have come to us throughout the evolution of Rock and Roll, and before. Most of the songs are from 1955 on, but there will be a few from 1947 on also. Although you will here some defining Rap and Hip-Hop, they will be scarce, and coming mostly from the first 10 years or so of the genre. I'm asking everybody to participate, diving into the music and memories. Please share with everybody your opinions, (good or bad) on the songs, performers, era of release, genre. Keep in mind, there are 1001 songs here..not everybody is going to like every song. if you have negative comments, I'd like to hear them..but please do not be abusive. This will be a friendly debate. These are NOT my videos, as I do not upload..yet. These are taken from the existing videos on the Tube which I feel best represent the song in question. With few exceptions, please..you are mainly commenting about the song..not the video. The list is set, so please do not request. If you don't see your favorite performer of song, sit tight. Chances are..you will. I'm sending out one video per day. Any questions..please feel free to ask. Peace, love and music. TED
