My 100th video, awesome! I know it's not flashy, and all effect like, but I think it came out good enough. I wanted it to be special, something to just get out of my system. I worked harder then you think, and this wasn't my original plan, but after a certain thing happened yesterday this was the best way to do it. I had this almost done already, but I decided to finish it for the 100th. I hope everyone enjoys.

I had sooooo many requests for this song!!!! ^0^ I hope everyone will like my vocal version of Rose of May! ^0^ As usual, I worked very hard arranging this song for voice, harp, guitar, various drums, and recorder! I performed all the instrumental parts in the background and am doing all the vocals. ^0^ phew!
A million thanks to the talented artists and cosplayers on deviantart.com!!!! Your gorgeous art brought out the creativity in me!!!
In the lyrics I used the term Rose of May as a metaphor for innocence. Even the great General Beatrix was once an innocent child who'd never seen the horrors of war. I really tried to put her character into the lyrics; her blind loyalty and sense of duty, her guilt over the many deaths she caused in the name of fealty,
and her eventual love for Steiner. ^_^
I hope I succeeded? o_o

I sang the melody for this completely a cappella on a whim, and it sounded good, so I arra
I sang the melody for this completely a cappella on a whim, and it sounded good, so I arranged and added instruments on top to create this fan vocal. Because of the strongly Okinawan influence of FFX's world, I tried to make my recorder sound like a shakuhachi flute, and my drums sound more traditional. The accompaniment is sparse to let the beauty of the melody shine through. ^_^

With the video: I finally got the "high quality" (thanks to someone very nice who helped me out!!!) But, after watching both versions, I noticed that the sound quality is actually BETTER in the standard quality vid. So...I guess watch both ways to see and hear the best versions! o_o
I worked very hard on it to make it every bit as emotional as the song. I hope everyone likes it ^_^

Axel and Roxas have never comitted to each other. Their relationship is casual. But when Roxas strays out of preference and kisses a girl, Axel finds himself increasingly...jealous.
Roxas, oblivious to this, continues his game with Namine, who is dead set on having Roxas in a relationship. Axel, tells her to quit the fantasy, but she does not listen. Only then did Roxas notice that Axel had a problem.
Hayner and Olette are apalled at Roxas's actions, that he would hurt Axel like that. While Roxas allowed the guilt to build, Axel prepared the best form of revenge.
He kissed a girl. Larxene played along with Axel, to teach Roxas what it felt like to be used. Both Roxas and Axel learn that girls are a lethal species best left alone.
Axel visits Roxas, who is remembering all the times they spent together in his room, and they ask each other for forgiveness.
In the end, it returns to the way it should be. Roxas and Axel together, Axel making fun of Roxas's girly appearance, and the girls out of the way.
Because girls are icky.

Beginning through first chorus:
As a young child, little Rinoa Heartilly loved playing in the old abandoned church. No one knew why the flowers grew there, but it had always been her favorite spot. One day, a young boy by the name of Sephiroth enters the church. Intrigued, Rinoa instantly makes friends with him, happily enjoying his company. She was infatuated with the boy, and perhaps had a childhood crush on him. However, fate wouldn't allow the two of them to be together. One day, Sephiroth contracted a strange illness that no one had seen before. He struggled with it, but was sensing that things around him were different. His sense of smell was sharper, and he feared the lust of blood welling up inside of him. He fled, and transformed into a man with silver hair and slit-like green eyes.
Second Verse through second chorus:
After the years, Rinoa Heartilly had grown into a stunning young woman of seventeen and was happy with her life. On a walk one day, a strange-looking man with silver hair confronts her. At first she is frightened, but sees the familiar flicker of blue hidden behind those strange green irises. Instantly, she knows it is her childhood friend, and embraces him. They both start to catch up, their feelings for each other growing more and more with the passing days, but there is something Rinoa hasn't hold him. The Sorceress, Ultimetica, is out to possess her body, and she randomly gets attacks of pain and images, not understanding what they mean.
Bridge to the end:
Sephiroth finds out about Rinoa's predicament, and sets out to try and help her. He runs into one of Ultimetica's henchmen, and is left for dead by a wooden stake to the heart. Anguish-stricken, Rinoa flees to see him once more, and holds him in her arms as he whispers sorry into her ear. As he passes on, Ultimetica takes her chance when Rinoa is most vulnerable, and tries the possession process. Before Sephiroth's soul ascends into heaven, he sacrifices himself for Rinoa, and gives her his soul, which gives her the power of what he was--a vampire. Once Rinoa has awakened, she finds white wings on her back, and inhuman strength that she did not have once before. She fights Ultimetica, thus winning the final battle. Sephiroth just looks down at her, glad to have helped his one true love....
