Tonica (also spelled Tonika) were a very popular Bulgarian pop band in the 1970s. They can be compared to bands like Ricchi e Poveri, ABBA, Mocedades. In the 1980s the producer of Tonica, Stefan Diomov, created a new pop band Tonica SV, and some of the former members of Tonica formed the band Domino. Then in the 1990s Tonica SV and Domino joined together to create the band Familia Tonica. Familia Tonica inherited the experience of Tonica, Tonica SV, and Domino and they continue to entertain their Bulgarian fans in the 21st century.
