Yeah, they get on my nerves (the Christians and the rednecks lol)
I think I say the more cool "whatup yall homies" type of yall... insha'Allah hehe :). My parents start making fun though when I say it hehe. Hey, that Coptic dude or whatever he is posted another comment in Arabic, could you please translate it? Thanks. Grrr, I know he speaks English... |

YEAH MAN those Christians really get on my nerves. Lets see, there were two serious attempts to convert me within the last 4 years, and there have been maaannny suddle attacks, I'm sure lol. Those are the "I wanna help you because I love you, and Jesus loves you, but he is gonna send you to burn in Hell if you don't recognize Jesus as your savior, so do it" kinda Christians. Then there are the good little church-going boys that fall asleep in church and don't know squat about their own faith (lol sometimes I have to tell them what they believe). Then there's the jocks who are Christian but can't quote a single word from the Bible. Then, every now and then, there's the open-minded one that is kind of agnostic but doesn't want to say it.

LOL... yeah, I can't wait till I turn 15.
Trust me, as long as there aren't jinn around, living with dead people (that are out of sight of course) is way better than living with rednecks. LOL I saw a picture in an email of a redneck woman who cut 3 holes in men's briefs and made a tank top. Yeah, I talk like a Yankee... but talking a bit like a southerner was inevitable because of my location, lol, so I use southern words like "yall" (Astaghfirullah lol) and northern words like "soda" and it forms a very interesting mix, I must say. |

Oooh, and they really don't like the fact that we're Muslim. My dad is one of the most respected citizens in town, he is very sucessful and well known, but some of the nurses that work for him sometimes say things around him like "there are so many good people that won't go to heaven because they aren't saved" and stuff like that. They have a beef with us because we aren't Christian. They also really hate Catholics and Mormons.

@ age 15 you can get your learner's permit. At 16 you can get a license (I turn 15 in November hehe). No, the majority of those people are rednecks.
Yeah, I was born here. lol no, I will never become like them. I talk like a northerner (thanks to my awesome parents) and they hate me for that lol. I love nyc we go up there like 3 times a year to visit family. My mom and dad used to live there. Moving here was the biggest mistake they ever made (even though we earn more money here and the price of living is cheaper, I would've been happier in nyc i think lol). What did the Arabic comment say? I can't speak it (though I am okay at reading it, I'm still in the process of learning). |

Well, lol, I can't even drive yet, so I don't think I can pick up and move to Cali lol...
BUT I am going to boarding school in Florida next year for high school and I know there are a few other Muslims going there (I know for sure that at least one of them practices), so at least we can have a congregation (or 2 of us... lol, would that even be considered a congregation?... insha'Allah the others will follow our example) on Fridays during lunch break... I won't have time to go to the local masjid though :(. I do plan to move to the suburbs of NYC insha'Allah and be a physician. :) My dad made sure to instill a little American nationalism (though, it has shrunk over the years) in my heart. Though, I do know I'd much rather live here than Pakistan bleh... I love visiting but I would not want to live there. |
