Debra Richardson, formally of Hotel Utica here! These are absolutely fabulous snippets of Utica history! Thank you for your time and effort to do this . . . i am a documentariam at heart, and would love to share some of my photos with you as I am documenting an East Utica Italian garderner (rapheal cappelli) on Elizabeth Street. His garden is Eden, and he still maintains the fig trees along with every other inch of his dead brother's yard with gardens. He is the last of a dying breed, and i feel the need to document, and in my little fantasy world, someday it will be a book called 'A Fig Tree Grows on Elizabeth Street'.
