Thomas Edward Yorke (born October 7, 1968 in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, England) is a Grammy-nominated English musician, best known as the lead singer and principal songwriter of the band Radiohead. He has also recorded as a solo artist; he released his debut album, The Eraser, in July 2006, and has collaborated with many other artists. Yorke mainly plays electric guitar, acoustic guitar and piano, but he has also played drums and bass guitar (notably during the Kid A and Amnesiac Radiohead sessions). Yorke is also an electronic musician, and The Eraser was heavily influenced by electronic music.[1]
Yorke currently lives in central Oxford with his partner, Rachel Owen, a printmaker who holds a doctorate in art history, and their two children, Noah, born in 2001, and Agnes, born 2004. He has one brother, Andy, ex-vocalist of the band the Unbelievable Truth. In 2005, Yorke became a spokesman for Friends of the Earth and their campaign to reduce carbon emissions.
Radiohead are an English alternative rock band that formed in Oxfordshire in 1986. The band is composed of Thom Yorke (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, piano, electronics), Jonny Greenwood (lead guitar, other instruments), Ed O'Brien (guitar, backing vocals), Colin Greenwood (bass guitar, synthesisers) and Phil Selway (drums, percussion).
Radiohead released their first single, "Creep", in 1992, and their debut album, Pablo Honey, in 1993. Though initially unsuccessful, "Creep" was a worldwide hit when reissued a year later. Radiohead's popularity in the United Kingdom increased with the release of their second album, The Bends (1995). The band's textured guitar atmospheres and Yorke's falsetto singing were warmly received by critics and fans. With the release of OK Computer (1997), Radiohead were propelled to greater fame worldwide. Featuring an expansive sound and themes of modern alienation, OK Computer has often been acclaimed as a landmark record of the 1990s.
The release of Kid A (2000) and Amnesiac (2001) saw the peak of Radiohead's popularity, although the albums divided critical opinion. This period also marked a change in Radiohead's musical style, with the incorporation of experimental electronic music, Krautrock and jazz influences. Hail to the Thief (2003), Radiohead's sixth album, blended styles from throughout the band's career, mixing guitar-driven rock, electronic influences and contemporary lyrics. Radiohead subsequently left their record label, EMI and released their seventh album, In Rainbows (2007), through their own website as a digital download for which customers selected their own price.

Guns N' Roses is an American hard rock band, formed in Los Angeles, California in 1985. The band, led by frontman and co-founder Axl Rose, has gone through numerous line-up changes and controversy since its formation. Guns N' Roses have released five studio albums, two EPs, one live album, and three music video DVDs within its career. The band is currently working on the infamous album Chinese Democracy, which has been in production for over a decade. Once released the album will be the first original recording from Guns N' Roses since the 1991 releases of Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II.
Guns N' Roses have sold an estimated 90 million albums worldwide,[1] including 39 million in the United States.[2] The band's 1987 major label debut album, entitled Appetite for Destruction, has sold 27 million copies worldwide and reached number one on the United States Billboard 200.[3]
While glam metal was the leading genre in record sales, video charts and radio airplay, Guns N' Roses offered a grittier, more traditional take on rock music, and won many fans who admired their apparent authenticity.
Foundation - L.A. Guns/Hollywood Rose merge
Guns N' Roses was founded in Los Angeles in March 1985 by Axl Rose and guitarist Tracii Guns, as an informal merger of Hollywood Rose and L.A. Guns, both of which Rose had been a member,[5] and the second of which Tracii Guns had been a member.[6] The original Guns N' Roses lineup included other members from both bands: from Hollywood Rose, Rose's longtime friend rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, and from L.A. Guns, Guns's former bandmates bassist Ole Beich and drummer Rob Gardner.
When Tracii Guns and Rob Gardner could not appear at one of the band's first shows in Seattle, Stradlin and Rose recruited guitarist Slash and drummer Steven Adler for the performance.[7] In early 1986 the pair joined full-time, fixing the lineup as Axl Rose (lead vocals and keyboards), Slash (lead guitar), Izzy Stradlin (rhythm guitar), Duff McKagan (bass guitar) and Steven Adler (drums). On the way back to Los Angeles, they wrote the lyrics for "Welcome to the Jungle", which became one of their signature songs.

Originally, TPC was titled the "Disclosed" Series. It started off as a comedic look into my life, partially reality and partially fiction. The series then evolved into a complete fantasy epic adventure.
Disclosed Episodes 1 - 8 'disclose' the lavish lifestyle of the princess within the palace walls. Episodes 9 through current are part of "The Princess Chronicles." TPC are all about VenetianPrincess' mystical journey around the world. Her destination being the ends of the earth, to bring an enchanted ancient box back to where it originated. She meets eccentric characters along the way, which lead to some interesting twists and turns in her adventure.

It is a theatrical fantasy series filled with fairy tale action and adventure. And to think, it's all filmed in my livingroom!
I play all of the characters, and design much of the costume and fantasy makeup you see. My creative influences are directors; Terry Gilliam and Tim Burton, but everything you see in my videos is 100% original and from the depths of my crazy imagination! :)

Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr. (born March 23, 1978) is an openly gay American blogger, actor, and television personality. His blog is Perezhilton.com (formerly PageSixSixSix.com), which he writes under the pseudonym Perez Hilton. Lavandeira was born in Miami, Florida to Cuban parents of Galician ancestry and now resides in Los Angeles, California.
On his website Lavandeira posts gossip items about a variety of celebrities. His posts are usually delivered with an irreverent, tongue-in-cheek and sometimes even cruel slant. He often posts tabloid photographs over which he has added his own captions or "doodles."
Lavandeira's angle on celebrity gossip includes an unapologetic desire to mingle with and be a part of celebrity culture. He thus often describes celebrity awards shows, clubs, and private events he has attended, and posts photographs of himself with the celebrities he writes about under the "Personally Perez" category of his blog.[15] Among others, he purports to have befriended Paris Hilton, the source of his nickname and frequent subject of his posts.[16] Some have suggested, however, that Lavandeira's proximity to the celebrities about whom he writes has led to biased coverage on his blog. Lavandeira often promotes his favorite up-and-coming musicians by posting streams of their songs under the "Listen To This" category of his blog.[21] For example, London-based singer Mika's 2007 rise to popular success in North America has been at least partially attributed to Lavandeira's support. Lavandeira and Mika also claim to be friends.

Leonidas was a 5th century B.C. Spartan military king who bravely led a small force of Greeks -- mostly Spartan (the famous 300), but also Thespians and Thebans -- against the much larger Persian army of Xerxes, at the pass of Thermopylae, in 480 B.C. during the Persian Wars. According to Herodotus, Leonidas had been warned by the Delphic oracle that either Sparta would be destroyed or their king would lose his life. Leonidas chose the second alternative.
All the Spartans and Thespians died, including Leonidas, although Herodotus says the Thebans had never wanted to be there and surrendered when Leonidas was killed. The Persians mangled the corpse of Leonidas.
Leonidas was the half-brother of King Cleomenes I of Sparta. After Cleomenes' suicide, Leonidas was made king because Cleomenes had died without a son or other closer male relative. Leonidas was also married to Cleomenes' only child and heir, Gorgo. Herodotus says this was part of the reason he became king. Since they were kings from the Agiad line, both Cleomenes and Leonidas claimed Heracles (Hercules) as ancestor.
