I am sorry about the BBC not able to deliver vidoes to your country. The BBC is an amazing resource but is funded by TV Licence Payers in Britain.
We do have commercial channels and they can do whatever they like with their material but the BBC is regulated because the British public have paid for the content to be produced and the government is keen to ensure that any return on our investment is put back into the BBC. Checkout Television Licences on Wikipedia, it's all quite crazy really but we don't have to put up with adverts on the BBC. Everyone in Britain who owns a TV pays about GBP170/USD280 per year to avoid a GBP1000/USD2000 fine! And that is on top of satellite or cable TV fees. Why not checkout the BBC Worldwide website for DVDs of the fantastic shows that the BBC is able to produce because of its funding structure. And much love from Britain! |
