Wow, thanks for tacking onto my channel! I'm only a novice, but I got bit hard! This last summer (2007) I experienced two tornados: FRI 13 July, an F1 tore from west to east just north of me, following a severe thunderstorm fed by offshore cool, damp air after 3 days of 100-degree red-flag weather. The tornado produced 40-knot winds. 10 days later on 23 July I was visiting friends in Edmonton, Alberta and experienced a massive supercell storm and DROVE UNDER a tornado over YEG--Edmonton International Airport! This occurred a few days before the 20th Anniversary of "Black Friday". Everywhere between YEG and Wetaskiwin was a mess: Dirt and weeds on the road, no power, you name it. A range fire was going west of YEG and the lightning was everywhere..and intense! I'm gonna do some US-CAN border-area storm chasing this late spring/early summer.
