Storytelling Arts of Indiana

In 1988, three friends set out to host a storytelling festival in Central Indiana, so they founded Stories, Inc. and what would become an annual event, the Hoosier Storytelling Festival, featuring Carol Birch, Celestine Bloomfield, Len Cabral, Syd Lieberman and Jim May. 

What's now known as Storytelling Arts of Indiana seeks to enrich, connect, and entertain through the art and experience of storytelling. SAI accomplishes these goals and instills the value of storytelling in everyday life by offering professional storytelling performances, youth and senior outreach, historical storytelling programs to ensure stories of our past remain alive, and events where community members participate by sharing their own personal stories.
