The Founder & CEO of 42 is Laurie Cook who is a former journalist with over 30 years experience in community development, a Masters in Adult Education specializing in Community Development, and a PhD Candidate in Educational Studies looking at ways to enhance lifelong learning related to community development. 

Laurie is also a trustee for the International Association for Community Development (IACD), and a Past President of the Canadian CED Network (CCEDNet).
