Africa Research Institute For AI (ARIFA) is a Pan-African think tank dedicated to advancing the responsible and ethical development and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across Africa. ARIFA conducts impactful research, strengthens capacity, and promotes evidence-based policymaking, regulations, and best practices to support the effective adoption of AI for sustainable development.

The institute monitors global trends in Information Technology and AI, undertakes technology assessment and foresight, and analyzes the impacts of emerging technologies to inform policy options for African Continent. ARIFA also fosters collaborative research and knowledge exchange among researchers, policymakers, and industry experts, while promoting awareness and supporting the adoption, transfer, and adaptation of AI and digital technologies across the continent.
