I'm Darren, The Animal Storyteller.

This channel documents the real journey of writing and publishing emotionally serious animal fiction, from the very first word. I write about survival, loss, loyalty, and the genuine hardships our earthly companions face. Stories that are heavy, compassionate, and unflinching.

Two projects are being built here in public: Russet, a multi-book survival epic following a fox family through loss, danger, and the slow erosion of the world they know, and The Christmas Gift, a standalone novel documented from first idea to publication.
