Cornelius Boots is a leading creative shakuhachi composer-performer, active internationally in woodwinds since 1990.  A Dai Shihan (grandmaster) in the lineage of Watazumi-do and ex-orchestral/rock bass clarinetist, jazz guy and bandleader.  Known for merging the earthy and the ephemeral in woodwind-centric chamber music compositions and performance.  A folk magician and part-time reverend of the dark green religion.  Founder of Black Earth Shakuhachi School.
