Dan Bowhay (b. 2003) is a contemporary and visual artist who works in the United Kingdom. His projects explore relationships between humanity and the lived environment, with a recent focus on politics and its impact on disability, accessibility, and equity in society, told through personal experience. Bowhay explores these themes through the lens-based mediums of photography and moving image, utilising documentary, durational, or performance-based approaches, and he regularly resolves works through considered installations or through the form of the artist book.

His recent projects, “Between These Times” and “Visual Un-Impairment,” explore his visual impairment and how it affects his ongoing relationship with the world around him. In other projects, Bowhay explores relationships between architecture and its communities, the reframing of photographic archives, and other documentary works that examine spaces and environments that are less familiar.
